  Congregation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America tradition with outstanding pastor (Kendra Nolde) and a very care-oriented congregation focused on mission and ministry both internal to the congregation and in relationship to the neighborhood and broader world. Worship is in the Lutheran tradition with diverse music. The congregation is a Reconciled in Christ congregation and is open and affirming of all who wish to join. Gethsemane is a ONE congregation, committed to the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger. The ONE initiative is an expression of our mission statement in action. As a minister in the ELCA and a person engaged in social justice work, I highly recommend this congregation as one that is working hard at living out the Good News of Jesus Christ.
