  Messiah Lutheran Church is one of the friendliest congregation I've ever attended! They spend five minutes at the beginning of church just to greet people. It's really welcoming. The church is a smaller congregation but really cares about the community.

  I moved into STL last year and tried Messiah after a couple of months. I found a really warm, inviting, and diverse congregation with a good pastor who is a good preacher of the Word and a genuinely caring, welcoming man.
  
  Don't expect a church with lots of bells and whistles, just a good congregation where the welcome is real in a beautiful old sanctuary right across the street from Tower Grover Park's S. Grand entrance.

  They are not pretentious, they are not fancy, they are not cook up your own theology. Just a warm, very diverse and friendly congregation with solid Christian Lutheran beliefs. They have been at this location for over 100 years while a lot of other churches have closed their doors.

  Messiah is a church that cares about its community. This diverse congregation supports education and cares for kids in the neighborhood.

  I found a church that was disappointing. The people didn't make me feel welcome; even after several visits.
