  Great sense of community, wonderful people, and solid preaching of orthodox priests make this a great place!
  
  To address Leslie's one star review, she should know that anyone wishing to have their child baptized is required to meet with a priest, whether the child was born in wedlock or not (ours were and we had to also). That's because it's a responsibility and entry into a community. Baptism isn't a one time customer-client transaction.

  I grew up in this parish and attended the grade school through 8th grade, but when I had a child in my early 20's while not married, I was made to feel that my family was inadequate; when I called to have him Baptised, I was told by the secretary that I needed to meet with the priest to 'plead my case' to see if they would baptize him. Needless to say I went to a more forgiving, compasionate, and welcoming Catholic Church in Jefferson County and have yet to return to this archaic place.

  This parish is a place where Christ truly works. Both priests are committed to both orthodoxy and mercy, which I have gathered from their homilies during Mass, as well as when I have been to Confession.
  
  As well, it is filled with wonderful laypeople, devoted to Jesus and each other.
  
  God bless this parish.
